Prospect United Methodist Church is located at 3541 Smithtown Road in East Bend, NC. The church was established in 1830 at its present location under a “brush arbor” with circuit riding preachers ministering to the community. There have been three buildings since the early days; a log church, a frame church and the current brick facility.
The people of Prospect love God and their community. In response to God’s call on our lives, members are active in serving the least of God’s children. We volunteer at Yadkin Christian Ministries, deliver Meals on Wheels, and support the missions and ministries locally and globally of the United Methodist Church.
Our vision for our church is to be an open and caring place to worship, praise, and glorify God in all we do.
